Script synopsis

The drama is set at the beginning on the 1960's.The opening of the drama starts with at one the gigs with the innocent makers, after the gig the band Ian, Gary, Dave and Mike are approached backstage by a record label who is interested in signing the band. At this stage the band from London had been widely popular and compared to being up there with the Beatles and Rolling Stones. This was the bands big chance to become ultimate pop stars and inspire a generation.
once their record is recorded and released their hit 'Stay With Him' goes straight to number 1 in the UK pop charts. Once the band start getting more money, they’re buying big houses and nice cars but lead singer Ian found other ways of spending his money. It then shows him indulging in a life of starting off with doing lighter drugs such as cannabis; this then leads to him doing harsher drugs such as cocaine and LSD. It shows him getting worse and worse, which ultimately leads to his wife walking out on him with his kids.  The innocent makers do a gig in which was their first in America, the lead singer Ian has other ideas and gets drunk and high on drugs whilst on stage, ruining the gig and the innocent maker’s big opportunity. This then leads to the innocent makers kicking Ian out of the band and carrying on the tour without him. He still indulges in the drugs over self-pity and feeling sorry for himself, however one day when trying heroin, he collapses on the floor in his home, after going to hospital the doctor reveals to him after he comes around he could have died.
Once Ian receives this reality check, he decides to turn his life around and admit himself into a rehabilitation clinic. After 3 months he is then clean and working on his new solo record and having contact with his children. The innocent makers then reunite in the 80’s for a comeback tour.

  1. Faisal,

Very well done for getting this completed on time. Let it be a sign of better things to come from you - you could do really well if you focus and apply yourself!

I really like your idea and think it is suitable for the brief. I also really like how it coincides with the release of 'Grrr' and the new Bowie album; it's (somewhat) topical and well-timed.

I would like you, however, to just go through the synopsis and amend little errors such as tense changes, using capital letters and ensuring everything is punctuated correctly.

    Good start, well done.
