screenplay proposal

There are many reasons why you would produce a script proposal. For example, if you have a good idea for a production such as a film or a television programme, a script proposal would be the best way to draw up your ideas. Script proposals are used to make for all sorts of productions such as films, factual programme, factual entertainment programme which effectively could be used to make quiz shows, reality TV shows, sport broadcasts or variety performances; for example, 'Family Fortunes'. Also fictional entertainment programmes such as sketch shows, sitcoms or dramas; for example 'Peep show'.

he way in which i intend to present my script proposal is in a written report explaining in detail about the programme that I am going to make. I am also going to use focus groups were i will present my ideas to others to receive feedback and advice on how i could improve my work. As well as this, I intend to research using the internet to gather ideas of how to produce a script proposal.
The title of my script proposal is going to be 'Sex, Drugs, and Rock 'n' Roll'. The genre of the production is going to be a drama. Also, the target audience I am aiming it at is 25-60 male and female who are working class. The production is going to start and set in the 1960's. I also plan to have the production as a single episode. The intention of my product is to have people interested in people’s ways of life in the 1960's but despite there being a good happy side to the decade there was also a dark side involving drugs and violence. The language of characters will be so the audience can understand and the characters will be so the audience can relate themselves to the characters. The main character of my production is Ian, at the time Ian is 20 years old who is the lead singer of an up and coming band called the innocent makers. Once fame and money gets to him he indulges in a life of drugs which ultimately lead to the breakdown of the band, his marriage and relationship with his kids. Once a near death experience happens he then turns his life around. The idea of this came from a film I  watched which was also called sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll but about a character who was stricken with polio at a young age and overcomes expectations by become one of the biggest stars of the punk-rock scene in Britain in the 1970s. I thought that I could take this idea and interpret it in my own way.
